#TravelTuesday Guest Blog
I am often on the scout for new blogs to read on different topics. I find most bloggers refreshing in that they are not scared to share an opinion and this often brings a whole range of different ideas and impressions to their writing.
I also get asked where to find bloggers to follow, so I have decided to try and feature some in the attempt to introduce people to different influences.
This weeks blogger is: Hazel from Beauty Shout Box
1. Who are you and where are you from?
I’m an English girl originally from the UK, who is unfortunately now an older, wiser and mature “girl” living her life in Umhlanga Rocks.
2. What made you want to start blogging and how long have you been doing it?
Originally trained for 3 years in Hairdressing and Beauty Therapy and having spent my whole working career in the beauty industry (working with many great International brands), I once I left the industry 5 years ago I wanted to keep my hand in with my passion and a beauty blog seemed a good way to do that.
3. What does your blog focus on?
Straight forward, easy to read beauty products and service reviews.
Basically I tell it as I find it and you decide if its worth a “buy”.
4. What tips can you give people to grow their blog audience?
Being technically challenged I’m still figuring that one out, but honesty and transparency go a long way.
5. Where can people find you? Website and Social media?
Tweets by beautyshoutbox
6. What exciting project do you have in the pipeline for your blog?
Being a Sagittarian travelling from a young age has always been my 2nd passion (after beauty) and I’ve just set up an account for IG
Beauty Shout Box Travels,so I’m not sure where that will take me, but its a combination of pics of my 2 passions beauty and travel.
7. What is the funniest experience you have had with your blog?
From the beginning the whole journey has been funny, especially as my only credentials were my beauty knowledge and 35 years experience in the beauty business and no writing, photography or social media skills at all…now that’s funny.
