#TravelTuesday Guest Blog

I am often on the scout for new blogs to read on different topics. I find most bloggers refreshing in that they are not scared to share an opinion and this often brings a whole range of different ideas and impressions to their writing.

I also get asked where to find bloggers to follow, so I have decided to try and feature some in my Travel Tuesday series in the attempt to introduce people to different influences.

This weeks blogger is: Colin Windell of colinwindell.wordpress.com

  1. Who are you and where are you from?

My name is Colin Windell and I am originally from Johannesburg, but currently live on the KwaZulu Natal South Coast. I am an apprentice retiree, petrolhead, rock music addict, inveterate traveller and lover of fine food.

  1. What made you want to start blogging and how long have you been doing it?

I have been a journalist for 43 years but started blogging only two years ago when I became a freelance writer. I became a blogger because of the freedom it allowed me in terms of subject selection and presentation.

  1. What does your blog focus on?

The focus is on cars, music, travel and wildlife.

  1. What tips can you give people to grow their blog audience?

Interesting question – I am still trying to find the answer. However, it is important all bloggers ensure the factual accuracy of their stories.
